Christmas all over again!

Good morning peeps I hope you are all fit and well and in a real crafty mood cos I have set the challenge this week at the Creative Card Crew and kept it easy cos I know you are all up to your eyes no doubt making Christmas cards so what better theme for you than

CHRISTMAS!

The lovely Denise from Whimsy Stamps has kindly sponsored us again and she also has a Holiday Card Contest running until the 12th December so check out her link to play along for even more prizes.

I am combining my card with The Pixie Cottage who are asking us to Get Stitchy, Secret Crafter Saturday want to see Christmas Trees, Kraftin´Kimmi Stamps say Touchy Feely and Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential want Hats On.

Oki koki onto my card.

First I pricked my "Christmas Fun" brass stencil from Kars by Erica onto pearlescent card then placed it on my light box to emboss . . . decided to cut out the tree shape before continuing cos knowing my luck I would have made a boo boo after stitching the ornaments, sewing on the beads and adding the gems . . . just call it age related rofl.

Simple reverse of pattern for back of card, adhered backing papers from DCWV then inked up Santa by Anita ... coloured with Copics and added lots of glamour mist ... and I apologise
as I have added my greeting to other side so can´t show you that in case a certain person may see this.
I did try ribbons down the spine but thought they looked too fussy so added brads instead.

Have a super duper day, I am off to town to pick up my new glasses and will be back tomorrow.

Fluttering By with a challenge or two

Good morning and a happy Wednesday to you all. This day as always we get to play with Flutter By Wednesday at Danni´s Dreams and this week our challenge is to use a circle or circles along with your butterfly, fairy or angel.

There are more than a few challenges this week looking for Christmas themed projects so I am playing along with

Papertake Weekly ... Christmas Crackers

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday ... Thank You and/or Christmas

Allsorts ... Christmas Carol or Song Title ... Once in Royal David´s City

Gingersnap Creations ... include a Frame.

For my card today I decided to go back to basics, so no fancy papers - only pearlescent card. I created my frame using my circular nestabilities, cased this from my fellow DT Harriet, thank you sweetie, and edged this with those long forgotten peel offs. Both images have been coloured with copics ...central image is from See D´s Traditional Christmas ... Christmas Angels - Praying from Lili of the Valley and the flower was another of last week´s finds. Very plain and simple and looks much better IRL.

The REAL Mc Coy - broomstick

This week at Flutter By Wednesday #79 is a free week as long as you have a Butterfly or Fairy on your project and Cute Daisy May say Fairy-nuff so a Fairy is what again is required whilst on Dottie´s World and Allsorts #22 they would like to see Halloween projects and ABC are onto the letter F for flying.

I racked my brains on how to turn this beautiful pixie fairy into a Halloween image so googled broomstick then printed one out when hubby came on the scene and said something along the lines "Surely you´re not using THAT!!!", remember I am being polite here, and from someone who never critises I knew I had gone down the wrong road and a few minutes later he presented me with some garden clippings so voila

my broomstick was created from twigs and a cocktail stick, again the wire from wine bottle came into use to bind these together. Aah for the hidden genius in my hubby, maybe better keep the wine flowing if he is gonna have brainstorms like this rofl.

I have coloured my image with copics and added some glamour dust and glitter for a bit o the ole sparkle. She is popped up on double 3d pads onto this sparkly paper which I cut with my nestie and dp is from an extreme cd.
Sorry I am such a bad blogger at the mo but I´m not feeling anywhere near A1 so I am following doctors orders and those of my dear daughter so promise to get back on track asap. -x-

Creative Card Crew - Challenge #31

Good morning peeps, I hope you are all well, fit and happy.
We are so excited to introduce you to our new Guest Designer
who will be joining us for the next three months, we are in for a treat as her cards and projects are awesome.

It is my turn to set the challenge this week with the Creative Card Crew and I have chosen the theme of CELEBRATIONS in honour of my fellow DT´s big FIVE O on the 10th.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHARON, enjoy your day sweetie.

Our sponsor this week is The Cutting Cafe and Regina has kindly donated 3 sets of the winners choice plus she is also giving all Creative Card Crew readers a very special offer
This special deal is for today (only valid on 6th October) and it's open until midnight pacific time. If you order a download set from the Cutting Cafe you can order another set for free as long as it is of equal or lesser value. To qualify for the free set you must write in the order comments on paypal that you've seen this deal on the Creative Card Crew Challenge Blog.
There is also a special prize this week of a 2 week Guest Designer spot and the winner will be chosen at random by Sharon from this weeks entries.

Anyhoo onto my offering for this week!

A close up of her sparkly dress as I have no idea how to enlarge my main card with it being A4 in total length so all help will be appreciated, excuse the shadow - it is so hot and sunny here so can´t be avoided rofl.

My base card is pearlescent and papers from SU, coloured Madison from Charmed Cards & Crafts, with my copics then covered her dress with glamour dust ... well a girl has gotta sparkle on her BIG O doesn´t she? Got my needle and thread out and enjoyed a couple of hours sewing the side panels then heat embossed my sentiment - touched up the roses with copics and some more glamour dust and cut the 50 from my Sizzlets.

Watch out - there are witches about

This is my 1st DT card for Die Cut Dreams and challenge #17 has been set by our lovely Vikki who has set the theme of Halloween with a colour combo of Black, Purple, Orange and Green and for good measure has thrown in a wonderful sketch too. At first I thought YIKES what on earth am I going to do here but to be honest it was easy peasy.
Creative Belli also have a theme for Halloween as do Fun with Shapes and More and Stampavie and More have set the theme of Animals ... now what decent witch would be without her cat???

I have coloured my image with Copics, cut her out with my nesties. Paper is from an Extreme cd and ribbon plus slider are from my stash. Sentiment is computer generated using Accent Dot Writer font and again cut out with nesties.
Start of a new week, I hope it is a good one.

Young Love

The challenge this week on Dottie´s World is "Charmed I´m Sure" and I have just finished this card - yes last minute as usual.

I had fun colouring with my copics, cutting out with nesties. MS valentine punch on PM dp and flowers and charms are from my stash.
I hope you are all enjoying a good weekend and the sun is shining on you - 30 degrees here at the moment, just a tad warm.
