Challenge 6 - Monochrome Madness

This week´s theme with the Creative Card Crew sure had me pulling my hair out as I really had to raid my limited stash to find something to fit their Black/White & Grey or Silver colour combo.



Coloured my gorjuss girl with prisma´s, used lots of nesties and flower punches, matted white onto black ribbon. MSDL punch and ticket stamps from the The Hobby House.

Flutter By Wednesday # 53

It is Wednesday once more and time for another challenge over with FBW and the challenge this week is to create a card with a butterfly or a fairy and just for clarification, we decided any person with wings can qualify as a fairy PLUS use punches or diecuts on your creation! We´d love to see your creations! Just enter the direct link to your creation in Mister Linky. If you upload to SCS or PCP, please use the keyword, FBW. I decided to use punches as the main theme of my card ... borders, tags and flowers! Ribbons, pearls and gem from stock along with the decoupaged butterfly peeloffs.

Hope you are all enjoying your Easter break and not feeling too sick after all those choccie eggs.
Challenge 25 at Lily of the Valley is FUN and I can remember more than a few giggly girlie night´s out.



Just had to add lots of glamour dust, us girlies have to sparkle lol. Dp is Dovecraft, decoupage made by a friend, prima flowers and swirl punch from The Hobby House and rest from stash.
Wall to wall sunshine here and not a breath of wind, I hope you all have good weather too.

Brassed Off

Hope you are all enjoying your Good Friday and have plenty of sunshine. A bit windy here today but sun is shining brightly.
Flutter By Wednesday #52 theme is Butterflies or Fairies and as I love them equally I have been greedy and used both.



I decided to dust off my neglected brass stencils and have used one by Joy for the centre and a Marianne Design for the corners, decoupage is by Caron Vinson and the cutie little butterfly embellishments were a snip at the Range.
Sorry for bad piccie but between the wind and sunshine this is the best I can do.

Challenge 24 meets Challenge 5 Happy Easter

Ooh I am catching myself coming backwards since my recent hol in UK and have made this card for Lily of the Valley whose theme is Easter. This card also fits the Happy Easter theme over with the Creative Card Crew



I have used lots of my crafty stash from Harrogate and had fun adding the butterfly charm with wire and beads from my stash. I just love this messy rabbit and coloured him with my prisma´s then added a sakura stardust to the flowers. -x-

Crafted my little socks off today

New Challenge Blog started today

Woo hoo a new Challenge Blog started today and their first theme is "New Beginnings", do stop by and view all the wonderful DT creations at Stamptactular Sunday Challenge



I have used this little cutie stamp from Forever Friends and coloured him with my prisma´s and added lots of glamour dust to his nappy.Flower and teddy button etc are from my stash.

My First Loves + Awards

One Stop Craft Challenge#23-All Sewn Up has been set by the lovely Sharon, now how could I resist when stitching was and still is my first love along with decoupage! She would like to see faux,doodled,stamped, machine or hand stitched so out came my pricking needle for this pattern along with my needle and thread. Flutter By Wednesday #51 theme this week is No Designer Paper so my card also fits into this challenge, another challenge I couldn´t resist because I love my fairies and butterflies too.


A cute little fairy decoupage,have added a little glamour dust to his wings and some flat backed beads then decided he needed something to focus on so also added some little punched out butterflies (always save the scraps from my corner punches)then added some jelly tots to the corners.

Easter is approaching

Back home with some new stash

Arrived back home last night after a hectic but enjoyable 12 days in UK. It was fantastic to see all our children and grandsons in this one trip and I got to meet our latest addition to the family for the first time and got lots of cuddles to keep me going for a wee while.
I also was introduced to Marcea´s infamous Starbuck´s hot chocolate and cake!!!
What a great time Marcea and I had shopping and the highlight was Harrogate Craft Fair where we met up with the lovely Bev for the Introduction to Copics Workshop which sadly was a shambles.I always thought a Demonstrator would demonstrate but sadly this was not the case and I came away so very disappointed and actually feel like complaining if only I knew how.
Wow you should have seen Bev demonstrate, now here is one lady who knows how to ... and this was for free on the best stand at the show The Hobby House and Jill the owner is such a sweetie too. Marcea and I enjoyed spending more than a few pennies here as the stock was fabulous.



Gosh our Marcea sure knows how to shop, she also took me to The Range and Papermill where I topped up on my Harrogate stash. I so needed card, envelopes, adhesives, a few extra paper packs to add to the K&Co I got from Jill etc etc.



Hopefully I will now be able to make some proper cards with all my new goodies, desperately needed embellishments too so this little stash should help me out!

Challenge #10 Something For The Guys

Think I have been working in over drive this week and just had to join in again with the fabulous challenge over at Charisma Cardz especially because I need a card for a friend who celebrates his birthday next week. Do pop over and see the wonderful cards designed by the DT´.



A simple pyramid design with a pop out insert.



I think this may well be the last card I post until next month as we are off to UK next week and I will also be attending my very first Craft Fair in Harrogate woo hoo. -x-

A Darker Shade of Pale

There is a new challenge on the blog being hosted by the Creative Card Crew and their very 1st challenge is the theme of green. I made a card last week which fitted this challenge but decided to challenge myself and make yet another card this week so out came a punch and my card fell easily together by being finished with a decoupage I made up yonks ago.



The punch is from Ling Trading Art No 8005, and now you can see more uses for those punches you already have, no need for the fancy circular ones which I myself have never mastered. I punched onto double sided coloured paper and with the aid of my decoupage scissors simply snipped two parts of the flower and folded back.




This is the card I made for an old friend who celebrated her 85th birthday last week and is from the kizzy dizzy range. I matted the images onto pale green pearlescent card and decoupaged the front with an image from a cupcakes cd and added greem gems round the frame.



Insert is decoupaged too.

3 Challenges

Woo hoo two cards in one week, I can´t believe it but again the challenges this week have inspired me so much that I just had to sit down and play.
First excuse, well this is what I tell hubby, was to use my new MSLD punch which I adore despite receiving another two of her punches on the same day and Stamp Something allowed me to do just this as their theme this week is "Favourite Somethings".
I had my image all coloured for Penny Black Saturday Challenge and their theme is a recipe of 3 brads, 2 ribbons and a flower then I couldn´t believe my luck when I espied the gorgeous sketch by Dawn at Inspirational Card Sketches, will definitely use this one again.

Magnolia vs Stampavie Week 17

I couldn´t resist the wonderful sketch designed by Carla over at Magnolia Vs Stampavie. This is the first time I have entered this challenge but it definitely won´t be the last.



Poor Tilda is so tired after her strenuous ballet lesson that she just had to go outside and sit on this log for a breather.
Recipe:- Swiss dots folder, Sugared paper, Cuddly Buddly sentiment, flower ribbon from stash and Tilda coloured with Prisma´s,decoupaged and sat on a Sizzlits Pilings then of coarse my nesties had to be used too. Thanks so much for looking.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

The theme this week over at Penny Black is "Get Well Soon"



I have chalked the background and used my Prisma´s to colour PB´s Arrangement image and added some glamour dust to flowers then raised this onto a nestie and again onto PM´s Retro Flower papers.I don´t have a get well soon stamp so had to use peel off´s and some flat backed gems then finished off with some toffee treats and Bosscut flourish.

ABC meets Truly Scrumptious

The theme this week at ABC is B is for Blue and Brown, pop over and see the fabulous DT and Guest Designer Bev´s cards.

Evening peeps, oh I am naughty as trying to fit in as many challenges as possible mainly because I am still have trouble with "my peeps", see specialist tomorrow about my cataract, and my leg is still giving me gyp but after a couple of months one would think I should be used to it by now, hey ho here we go.

Stamp Something theme this week is For your Valentine. Whiff of Joy theme is a recipe of 3 Different Backing Papers, 2 Flowers and 1 Brad or Button. ABC is A for Anniversary or as they are being very kind by allowing a Valentine/Love theme too. My Time To Craft theme is Going for Gold. Kaboodle Doodles are celebrating their very first challenge of the year and the theme is a Love Theme and last but by no way least is Arty Girlz with their theme of Flowers.




Recipe.
3 Papers from Sugared pad by Basic Grey.
2 flowers made up with a Papermania silk flower and an Xcut retro flower punch with a flat backed pearl for centre. Just had to add a wee bit art glitter to these.
1 Gold Papermania heart brad.
Melinda blowing Kisses by Whiff of Joy, coloured with prisma´s and touches of glitter. Sentiment is a Studio G stamp.




My dear friend Susie passed this wonderful award onto me and I wish to pass this over to Jacqui at Cat´s Whiskers,Rachel at Papercrafts by Rach, Sharon at Cards n Greetings. Bev at All the things I love and last but not least Marcea at Marcea´s crafting corner.

Had fun making this card as I love my punches and one can´t go wrong with Clinton´s Gift Wrap either so just hope my swap partner will like this.

ABC , One Stop Craft & Papertake Weekly Challenges

What a dreadful day and night we had yesterday, horrendous thunderstorms and torrential rain which left us without electricity for far too many hours. I hope you are all keeping nice n snug and warm whilst your snow falls heavily in UK and elsewhere. So much for the sunny costa´s as it is bitterly cold here too.

Righty ho I actually managed a card today but boy oh boy why does one realise the problem they have until it´s too late. I had only lost one of those little cushion nose pads of my glasses so eyesight was more than a bit wonky to say the least so believe me I now know you can teach an old dog new tricks teehee.



Over on ABC this week it is Y for Yesteryear so out came this pretty little flower from the Floral Set of See D´s which I bought about 3 years ago. I have coloured this with Prisma´s and added a touch of stickles then matted and layered this onto a hand embroidered background of hearts which also falls into the theme over at Papertake Weekly which is to use Hearts and Flowers, or both . One Stop Craft Challenge theme this week is Buttons and Bows so I have used both ribbon and buttons from stash.Basic Grey Boxer dp and a bit bugging complete my card.
