Good morning peeps and what a beautiful morning it is here on the Costa del Sol. The sun is shining brightly and temperatures are begining to rise, the birds are chirping sweetly but I wish someone would tell them I don´t like to be woken at 5am.
It is Wednesady again, oh where do the weeks go, and that means it is Flutter By Day and for Challenge#55 we have the option to use the colours Red, White and Blue in honour of Danni´s husband Sam, being deployed to Iraq.
Nancy is our featured Team Member this week so do stop by her Blog and leave her some love, she is a lovely lady and awesome crafter.
Righty ho onto my card, I have had this "Flower Fairies" stamp for ages, bought it in one of the cheapy buckets at Hobby Craft for a couple of pounds and this is the first time I have used it for myself. I coloured "The Strawberry Fairy" with Prisma´s and H20´s, used my new MS punch and new reel of Smirk ribbon which allows me to enter Challenge 26 with One Stop Craft Challenge whose theme is "Something New". Flowers are a mixture of Prima´s and punched so I can also enter Stamp Something whose theme is Showers or Flowers and there are some pretty little strawberry flowers too.
I have my friend Angie visiting today, yes she is the one who got me into carding, so must rush and have a quick flick round. -x-

Creative Card Crew Challenge 8 - GD
I am delighted to join the Creative Card Crew for a month´s spot as Guest Designer and we have a super sketch to follow from the very talented Sharon which I really enjoyed playing with. Check out the fabulous cards by the DT.
I love these gorjuss girls and have coloured her with my prisma´s. Papers are from the Classic pack by K&Co and what would I do without my MS lace and retro punches. Flowers, pearls and ribbon from my stash and sentiment is a rub on.
I hope you all have a lovely day, the sun is shining brightly here - so nice to see again after all the rain we had on Sunday.

I´m running around in CIRCLES
I couldn´t resist Challenge 7 with the Creative Card Crew as their theme this week is Round and Around set by the lovely Paula. I have been threatening to make a circular card so grabbed this opportunity with both hands and enjoyed myself. This card also qualifies for Challenge #29 with the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge whose theme is for Shaped Cards.
I used my largest circular nestie for the main frame, ok I had a couple goes at this as first try was a catastrophe. WOJ Henry is coloured with my trusty prisma´s, feel I am now getting the hang of these, and glamour dust to the icing. Paper is the freebie from May´´s Cardmaking & Papercraft and flowers from The Hobby House.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and the sun shines brightly for you.

Flutter By Wednesday / Just Magnolia
We have a free week on Flutter By Wednesday #54 and as long as you have the required fairy or butterfly on your card you can tie this in with as many challenges as you like so come on in and join the fun.
I am also entering this card into the Just Magnolia Week 1 and followed their sketch which has been designed by the very talented Donalda. There is a huge prize to celebrate their launch so go and ink up those Magnolia´s.
I have coloured with my prisma´s, used lots of nesties and rest from stash. Papers are Sparkly Sweet by K & C0.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge
I couldn´t wait to ink up this little beauty which I purchased on my recent trip back home and join in the fun with PBS especially as there is a wonderful sketch to follow designed by the talented Nat. I had so much fun making this card and will definitely use this sketch many times over.
I coloured this Spring Greetings with my prisma´s, chalked the background and added a touch of glamour dust to the little bee´s wings. Papers are Creative Tones by PM and card is from stash. A bugged panel with the Swiss Dots folder , punched swirl and flat backed pearls with organza ribbon and stamped sentiment to finish.

Challenge 6 - Monochrome Madness
This week´s theme with the Creative Card Crew sure had me pulling my hair out as I really had to raid my limited stash to find something to fit their Black/White & Grey or Silver colour combo.
Coloured my gorjuss girl with prisma´s, used lots of nesties and flower punches, matted white onto black ribbon. MSDL punch and ticket stamps from the The Hobby House.

Flutter By Wednesday # 53
It is Wednesday once more and time for another challenge over with FBW and the challenge this week is to create a card with a butterfly or a fairy and just for clarification, we decided any person with wings can qualify as a fairy PLUS use punches or diecuts on your creation! We´d love to see your creations! Just enter the direct link to your creation in Mister Linky. If you upload to SCS or PCP, please use the keyword, FBW. Please make sure your creation has a fairy or butterfly on it...We've seen some awesome cards linked but no fluttering on them! Thanks.
I decided to use punches as the main theme of my card ... borders, tags and flowers! Ribbons, pearls and gem from stock along with the decoupaged butterfly peeloffs.
Wow, thank you Joey, Pascale and Joanne for this beautiful award I am honoured to receive this from you three very talented ladies. Please do stop by their blogs and leave some love ... better make a cuppa before you go though as you will spend a very happy time browsing their wonderful blogs.
As this is a new Award I shall abide by the rules and pass it onto five other bloggers ... what a difficult decision this is because there are so many wonderful blogs out there but rules are rules:
Danni, Sharon, Stef, Susie and Sheila

Brassed Off
Hope you are all enjoying your Good Friday and have plenty of sunshine. A bit windy here today but sun is shining brightly.
Flutter By Wednesday #52 theme is Butterflies or Fairies and as I love them equally I have been greedy and used both.
I decided to dust off my neglected brass stencils and have used one by Joy for the centre and a Marianne Design for the corners, decoupage is by Caron Vinson and the cutie little butterfly embellishments were a snip at the Range.
Sorry for bad piccie but between the wind and sunshine this is the best I can do.

One Stop Craft Challenge#23-All Sewn Up has been set by the lovely Sharon, now how could I resist when stitching was and still is my first love along with decoupage! She would like to see faux, doodled, stamped, machine or hand stitched so out came my pricking needle for this pattern along with my needle and thread. Back home with some new stash
Arrived back home last night after a hectic but enjoyable 12 days in UK. It was fantastic to see all our children and grandsons in this one trip and I got to meet our latest addition to the family for the first time and got lots of cuddles to keep me going for a wee while.
I also was introduced to Marcea´s infamous Starbuck´s hot chocolate and cake!!!
What a great time Marcea and I had shopping and the highlight was Harrogate Craft Fair where we met up with the lovely Bev for the Introduction to Copics Workshop which sadly was a shambles.I always thought a Demonstrator would demonstrate but sadly this was not the case and I came away so very disappointed and actually feel like complaining if only I knew how.
Wow you should have seen Bev demonstrate, now here is one lady who knows how to ... and this was for free on the best stand at the show The Hobby House and Jill the owner is such a sweetie too. Marcea and I enjoyed spending more than a few pennies here as the stock was fabulous.
Gosh our Marcea sure knows how to shop, she also took me to The Range and Papermill where I topped up on my Harrogate stash. I so needed card, envelopes, adhesives, a few extra paper packs to add to the K&Co I got from Jill etc etc.
Hopefully I will now be able to make some proper cards with all my new goodies, desperately needed embellishments too so this little stash should help me out!
It was a pleasure to meet Diane ,sorry I never got a piccie of you hun, and Joanne with Emma
I was lucky enough to also meet Moi, Dawny P, Marcea, Kath, Kirsten and Emma.
