Creative Card Crew - Challenge 30

Woo hoo just you wait and see what the super challenge is over on the Creative Card Crew this week!
None other than our lovely Paula has set the theme of

All That Sparkles - glitter, gems etc!!!
Now can you tell me of any crafter that never uses any of these? No excuse now - come on and join in as we would love to see YOUR interpretation.

This week we are sponsored by The Crafty Pad, check out our BLOG to see what this week´s prize is and also for inspiration from my fellow DT´s.

For my card I inked up "Snowman from Stamps Happen" and now know I bit off more than I could chew ... it took hours for it to dry so perhaps my art glitter glue is well past it´s sell by date! First layer was stamped on acetate - glittered from behind and then another 3 layers were stamped onto card, coloured with Copics then cut out and paper pieced in place - final layer was the foreground which I added copious amounts of polar white flowersoft to give the effect of snow so hopefully I have achieved the challenge of All That Sparkles and with the addition of flat backed gems to the snowflakes on my backing paper I have ticked the next box too rofl.
Weeell maybe I may use this stamp again - next year - if I can forget the catastrophies of this card rofl.
Thanks for stopping by my wee crafty corner, your support and comments mean so much. -x-

Rugby Addict

Ooh how I would love to be at Ally Pally right now but will have to settle for the rain in Spain instead. Woo hoo it started to drizzle a few hours ago and everything now feels so fresh and temps have dropped to 25, ahh sheer bliss so I have had a wee play and managed to combine 3 challenges.

Die Cut Dreams #15 is It´s Raining Men so anything male oriented is ok. Stamp Something would like you to use your favourite layout or sketch and Simon Says It´s A Stitch Up and they are trying to reach 200 entrants this week so what else can a gal do but join in to help make up the numbers.

I have coloured Ian with my Copics then pricked around the border and backstitched, papers are PM For Him and sentiment is a peel off, golly gosh I have 1000´s of these.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend and those of you fortunate enough to be at AP ... I hope you Spend, Spend Spend.

Flutter Anya

The challenge this week at Flutter By Wednesday is to use FLOWERS along with your butterfly or fairy so how easy is this. Once again there is Candy on offer as we are celebrating all month long in honour of Danni hitting the BIG FOUR O.
We are honoured to have the uber talented Kim from Sunshiny Days as our Guest Designer, do stop by her blog and leave some love.

Anyone For Anya has a theme this week for FUNKY FLOWERS and they want to see something flowery on your cards - they don´t mind as long as it's fab and funky.

I have coloured Flutter Anya with copics, papers are Hopscotch from K&Co, MS Valentine punch, Retro punch - ribbon and flowers from stash.

I wish to say a huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY to CHRISTINE, she is such a kind DT sister so please pop by her blog and wish her a super birthday as she is not feeling so good at the moment AND she also has birthday candy too.

Don´t forget to pop by my teamies blogs too, links on my sidebar.

Creative Card Crew - Challenge 29

The challenge this week with Creative Card Crew has been set by our lovely Sam and she wants to see you
DECORATE THE INSIDE OF YOUR CARD.

This week we are sponsored by Whiff of Joy

and look at this fabulous stamp from the new Fall Kit they have kindly donated, how I wish I could enter myself.

For my card I have coloured Musing Melinda with copics and added glamour dust to her wings. Papers and ribbon are from Stampin Up. Used my poor neglected MS punch and flowers and gems are from my stash.

I carried through from front just adding a couple of bows instead of gems and will eventually stamp a greeting when I know what occassion I will use this card for.

Flutter By Wednesday meets Crafty Cardmakers

Here we are half way through yet another week and the birthday celebrations continue at Flutter By Wednesday. This week we have two very special Guest Designers - Mathew(8) and Annabelle(4), Danni´s children and I have to wait to see their creations owing to the time difference in USA.

The theme this week is to use "SPARKLE" along with your butterfly or fairy and yet again Danni has candy up for this challenge.

I have used the sketch from Crafty Cardmakers and will definitely use this one again.

Sorry for bad photo but this is the best I can achieve, backing papers are metallic and really luxurious but boy were they difficult to adhere.
I used my Copics for the skin tones, hair and shoes and then not actually paper piecing but acetate piecing - glittered from behind and a bit glamour dust added to her hair ribbon. Popped her up with 3d pads onto this gorgeous handmade paper which IRL looks like snow and backed this with glitter card. My flowers are by Petaloo and these are a very small part of the candy I won on Crafty Cardmakers Blog, added a few punched holly leaves to these gorgeous glittery flowers and the sentiment is from a stamp I borrowed from my friend Angie last year, now I am pleased I stamped plenty of these up when I had the chance.

I have taken this with the flash on but as you can see it reflects against the acetate but also allows you to see how sparkly this card is.

Think Pink

The celebrations continue for Danni at Flutter By Wednesday and there is more candy on offer this week from our lovely sponsor Jessica who has donated her Butterfly Wishes stamp set, so to be in with a chance to win this you have to follow our theme of "PINK", Danni´s favourite colour, along with your butterfly or fairy.
We are honoured to have the mega talented Jacque as our Guest Designer this week - now this is one blog I highly recommend you visit but warn you this will take some time as her creations are awesome.

Something new from me today - trying to show the depth of my card so hope this photo of my card laying down flat works?
The large flowers are from Papermania and the gorgeous glittery one from Petaloo.

I have coloured my sweet image with Copics and blended the background with I kan dee pearlescent chalks - added a trio of butterflies, coloured also with copics, from the waste of a corner punch. Papers are from the Designer Extreme cd´s and other flowers are from my stash.

Stamp Something would like to see you using your favourite stamp or stamp set, Cute Daisy May has a theme of Pink and ..., Kaboodle Doodles would like to see those charms.

Insert is from Designer Inserts Extreme, easy peasy - choose - click - print - adhere.
Edited to add to Die Cut Dreams Challenge Blog. Susie and Vikki are expanding and are looking for 2 DT´s to join their team and all you have to do is create a card in PINK.

Needing Help Ladies

Hi everyone,
I am looking for some help here.
Paige age 12, was in a serious boating accident a few weeks ago and has just had part of her arm amputated. The doctors are working to save the rest. I do feel for Paige and her family as my own son lost his leg in an accident when he was 11 so I sure know what they are all going through.
Please check out Erin´s Blog for full details and try to send a card to Paige, we all have plenty of those now, don´t we.
Hugs,
Nicola -x-

Blog Candy and a few Challenges

For those of you who are new to Flutter By Wednesday's or haven't heard, Danni our Queen Flutter By is turning the big 4-0 on Friday and instead of moping about it, she has decided to celebrate all month long with lots of fun here on Flutter By Wednesday's! Each week there will be something to win and also fun guest designers! To be entered in the blog candy for each week you will need to answer a question (answers can be found on her blog) and also create a card with the challenge of the week. Each blog candy will run for one week. She is also allowing her flutter by team to enter the blog candy because she thinks we rock and we do this for fun~~ no free products so she thought she´d let us have a shot at the prizes too, woo hoo.

To start things off we have none other than the mega talented Christy Croll as Guest Designer and this week´s challenge is to make a birthday card with a fairy or butterfy on it.

How I wish I could enter my card into 40 challenges to celebrate along with Danni but alas this is not to be. I have used the fantastic "sketch" by Domi over at Lili of the Valley, "ribbons and bows" at Just Magnolia, "round" at Pile It On, a recipe of "3 buttons, 2 papers and 1 ribbon" at Cupcake and last but not least "C is for Circles" at ABC.
I have coloured Tilda with my prismas adding a bit of Art Glitter to her wings and mounted her onto a bugged nestie. Papers are from Designer Extreme Vol 111 and ribbon, flowers and buttons are from my stash.
