Good morning peeps, hope you all had a lovely weekend. Looks like everyone is having a heatwave although it is a tad too hot for me.

I knew straight away which stamp I was going to use and can you believe this is the first time I have inked her up. I have coloured Tilda with copics and raised her with 3d pads. I love this set of sentiments from SU and was so lucky to receive these as a birthday present from a dear friend and fellow DT, thanks again sweetie. I have cut them out with my nesties and mounted onto yet more. Papers are from the Vintage Collection available at Bearly Mine Designs and the flowers are of coarse from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Good morning peeps, I hope your day has got off to a good start ... hey not long to the weekend so plenty of "me" time ahead. I spent the day in Gibraltar yesterday and literally shopped until I dropped and came home with more than a few outfits so now I am all set up for the summer.

Let´s Celebrate

Ooh am I an Old Age Pensioner today? I think not because I won´t get my pension until July with the revised retirement age. Aha but I am lucky as I fall just a month behind the new official guidelines so not liable to work to the age of 65 ... thank goodness I left the rat race almost 17 years ago.
Today is also very special to me as my grandson Ryan celebrates his 17th birthday and will be able to get his Provissional Licence (is it still called that?) then get behind the wheel of a car and drive his parents nuts no doubt, mind you it won´t make much to difference to his mum as she is nuts already as I am sure half of you already know rofl - chip off the old block???
Happy Birthday Ryan, you light up our lives. -x-

Monday is upon us once again and I have no idea where the last week has gone, gosh I seem to blink my eyes and a new week is upon me before I know where I am. At least my memory is still in working mode cos I remembered today always brings us a new theme at Sweet Pea Stampers and this week we challenge you to try your hand at

I have never done any paper piecing, played around with acetate and glitter, but always fancied trying using the paper and like everything else ... I just needed a push in the right direction and now that I have tried it this will be something I definitely will repeat.

I have paper pieced her tail and belt in pearlescent paper, her hat and outfit with BG papers -
coloured Caribbean Treasure with my Copics and used Prisma pencils for the background - added some glaze to the bones to make them look authentic and gems and pearls from my stash. Good morning my lovelies, I hope you had a super weekend, I know I did. Can´t believe it´s Monday again already, where on earth do the weeks go? I was good yesterday and tidied up my craftroom although there were other places that should have taken priority but whey hey a gal needs some clear space to work in. Good morning and what a glorious morning it is here on the Costa del Sol, wall to wall sunshine and a kiss goodbye to the rain. I woke up to brilliant sunshine this morning which is a blessing considering we have had torrential rain and awful thunderstorms this past three days. It looks as if our family celebration is not to be, received email to say our flights for tomorrow are cancelled, that is us joining 1000´s of others but not too bad because at least we are stranded at home unlike the unfortunate holiday makers.

I have used Ching Chou Kuik´s "Mad Tea Party" decoupage sheet from The Crafty Purple Frog and found this so relaxing to cut out. Papers, flowers etc are all from my stash.

Time to go shopping as all fresh food has gone, freezer is empty but think I will keep it that way hoping we manage to get a flight. Have a lovely day and don´t do too much . -x-

Lili of the Valley

Good afternoon folks, sorry I am late uploading my card this week for Lili of the Valley.
Hubby had to go to hospital following a visit to his GP and was admitted, it sure has been a stressful few days but pleased that things are not as bad as first suspected.
I have just managed to gain access to my puter, we have had torrential rain and hours of thunderstorms since early morning unlike you all basking in wall to wall sunshine over in UK.

This fortnight´s challenge has been designed by our wonderful Bev and I really enjoyed using her fabulous

We are really looking forward to our visit to UK this coming week to celebrate our youngest grandson´s christening a week tomorrow, fingers crossed our flight won´t be cancelled on Tuesday! It will be wonderful for us all to be together as a family, something which doesn´t happen often enough owing to distances and commitments. I hope the sun keeps shining for you all. -x-
