Think Pink

Something new from me today - trying to show the depth of my card so hope this photo of my card laying down flat works?

I have coloured my sweet image with Copics and blended the background with I kan dee pearlescent chalks - added a trio of butterflies, coloured also with copics, from the waste of a corner punch. Papers are from the Designer Extreme cd´s and other flowers are from my stash.

Challenge 26 - Have a Fairy nice day

Good afternoon ladies, yep I know I am late posting today but we have just spent the morning in Gibraltar - done a bit of shopping and popped into local craft shop and now in need of a cuppa and siesta.

I have coloured my sweet image from Charmed Cards and Crafts with Copics and added glamour dust to her eyelashes and wings then raised her with 3d pads. My main backing paper is from Designer Extreme Vol 1 and the striped is out of my cut off box. Some flat backed gems, punched flowers and leaves with the roses for detail.

Needing Help Ladies

Hi everyone,
I am looking for some help here.
Paige age 12, was in a serious boating accident a few weeks ago and has just had part of her arm amputated. The doctors are working to save the rest. I do feel for Paige and her family as my own son lost his leg in an accident when he was 11 so I sure know what they are all going through.

Blog Candy and a few Challenges

For those of you who are new to Flutter By Wednesday's or haven't heard, Danni our Queen Flutter By is turning the big 4-0 on Friday and instead of moping about it, she has decided to celebrate all month long with lots of fun here on Flutter By Wednesday's! Each week there will be something to win and also fun guest designers! To be entered in the blog candy for each week you will need to answer a question (answers can be found on her blog) and also create a card with the challenge of the week. Each blog candy will run for one week. She is also allowing her flutter by team to enter the blog candy because she thinks we rock and we do this for fun~~ no free products so she thought she´d let us have a shot at the prizes too, woo hoo.


To start things off we have none other than the mega talented Christy Croll as Guest Designer and this week´s challenge is to make a birthday card with a fairy or butterfy on it.

How I wish I could enter my card into 40 challenges to celebrate along with Danni but alas this is not to be. I have used the fantastic "sketch" by Domi over at Lili of the Valley, "ribbons and bows" at Just Magnolia, "round" at Pile It On, a recipe of "3 buttons, 2 papers and 1 ribbon" at Cupcake and last but not least "C is for Circles" at ABC.

I have coloured Tilda with my prismas adding a bit of Art Glitter to her wings and mounted her onto a bugged nestie. Papers are from Designer Extreme Vol 111 and ribbon, flowers and buttons are from my stash.

Creative Card Crew - Challenge 26

Golly gosh I can´t believe we are onto Challenge 26 already at the Creative Card Crew and this week the theme has been set by the lovely Sharon who has challenged us to use the combo of Pink/Black and White and what a fabulous combo this is.

Flutter By Wednesday meets Whiff of Joy and Pile It On

This week on Flutter By Wednesday the challenge has been set by the mega talented Kim and she would love to see you use your favourite quote along with your butterfly or fairy, can you believe I don´t own any quotation stamps so I have used one of my favourite sentiments.
Whiff of Joy have set the challenge of adding Bling to your project and Pile It On say Good things come in "Threes".

I have coloured my sweet image with Copics and hopefully I will get better as time goes on. This is the first time I have used these but do feel a genuine love for them already. I have added a wee bit glamour dust to her wings and my papers are from Designer Extreme Vol 1. Flowers and gems are from my stash apart from the punched out retros which I also coloured with my copics.

Challenge 25 - Sketch

Well I am now back from my wee jaunt to UK and totally shattered. I forgot how tiring it is to look after a 2, 4 and 7 year old full time so I take my hat off to all you lovely grandmas´who do it regularly.
It is my turn to set the Challenge this week with the Creative Card Crew and I have chosen one of Sharon´s super sketches as I know how much we all love playing with these plus it is a wee while since we set a sketch challenge at CCC.

Creative Card Crew - Challenge 24

Our challenge this week at Creative Card Crew has been set by the very talented Paula and she has chosen the theme of "Christmas in August" so come on crafters and make a start on those much needed Christmas cards and join in to win.



I have coloured my sweet SN image with prismacolour pencils and matted and layered her with my nesties. All papers are from the newly released Designer Extreme Vol 111

which also has matching inserts.

Hopefully Mr. Blogger will be kind enough to post this on time as I will be in UK.

BEARLY MINE DESIGNS ... BLOG HOP

Today´s Blog Hop is to celebrate the Launch of Bearly Mine Designs latest disc - Designer Extreme Vol. 111 which continues the series of Craft CD´s created by Donna. She has excelled herself with this latest disc combining the Papers and Inserts together on 1 CD rather than 2 and there are papers for all occasions and this one has a large selection of Christmas Papers and Inserts . . . and also Papers and Inserts for Halloween, Valentine's Day and even Easter.

The Design Team and myself have been making some cards to show you a few of the Papers and Inserts included on this disk ...hence the reason we're having a Blog Hop ... and it wouldn't be a Blog Hop without some candy too, so we´re offering one hopper (not sure if that's the right terminology) the chance to win this new CD but you must comment on every Blog to be in with a chance to WIN.

I have coloured my sweet SN Penpal with Prismacolour Pencils adding a few gems for detail. The papers are my choice for this image and I have used pink card from stock for matting and used my latest MS punch to give a soft effect. Brads are from Papermania and flowers from my stash.

I have carried my inserts through as a contrast to main card.


Again I have used my Prismacolour Pencils with SN´s A Good Book image and I have chosen three different backing papers this time matting onto chocolate brown and again a MS punch for detail. Flowers were purchased at Harrogate Craft Fair and it is now time to order some more as I really love these ones.

I have carried my main green paper through and used a contrast detailed one, from the many that are available from the Insert Section, and added a little verse as it is always nice to let friends know you think of them.

As an added bonus for participating, two of the Design Team Members will also have a surprise candy on their blog ... but I'm not telling you who, you'll have to find out by visiting their blogs. So you now have three chances of winning a Blog Hop Candy.Unfortunately, or should I say lucky, Claire is away on her holidays at this time, so you won't be visiting her blog for this hop.

Hi friends,
I am now back home in Spain following the funeral of my wee brother yesterday. Nigel fought cancer with dignity and I obviously am so hurt with his passing but also grateful that I was with him to the end. I do need time to grieve so please bear with me and I will be back asap.

"Stampin´ for the Weekend" Challenge #6 "Strawberries dipped in Chocolate"

This weeks challenge at "Stampin´for the Weekend as the title suggests we have a colour combo for you. We would like you to take some inspiration from the two photos below. Kimmi had great fun with the strawberries, and guess what, she devoured the lot after she had taken the photo and said they tasted delicious ! The Tulip photo is from me and I must say there is nothing more beautiful to see in Holland than the miles and miles of tulip fields. So I hope using the title and the colours below you find some real inspiration.

For my card I started with my designer papers and these have been chosen from the "Strawberry Collection" in the Designer Inserts Extreme and Designer Extreme Vol 11 cd´s and from here my card fell together no problem.
I have coloured my image with Prisma pencils blending with sansodor ... she is from an Australian company called Stamp It.I added some small pearls for her necklace. chalked the edges and adhered some flat backed gems and kept it simple finishing off with a few tiny roses and small bow.



I have carried the main paper through to inside mirroring the design and included a verse, how easy peasy is that and a quick, no hassle finishing touch at the touch of a button!

Happy Wednesday

Morning peeps, hope you are not all exhausted in this heat like I am. What I would give for a good shower of rain but alas I will have a wee while to wait for that.
Today as always is Flutter By Wednesday at Danni´s Dreams and the theme this week has been set by the lovely Michelle and she has chosen Buttons and Bows and this is also the theme set at The Next Level.Charisma Cardz theme is Buttons, Pile it On is to use three different embellishments plus to enter more that one challenge - flowers, ribbon and buttons, Whimsy Stamps theme is Happy Birthday - thought I would be different and include a birthday verse rather than a sentiment. Dottie´s World are looking for a garden theme, flowers etc and last but by no ways least Die Cut Dreams theme is Corners and Curls so I hope the swirls on my insert count.



For my card I have coloured Water Lilly, from set 2, and coloured her with my prismas blending with sansodor and adding a touch of glamour dust to her wings and eyes. My paper is from the "Scenic" section of Bearly Mine Designs-Designer Inserts Extreme cd and all flowers, ribbons and buttons are from my stash.



My insert papers are also from Designer Inserts Extreme cd and I have flipped the left hand paper and also my Water Lilly and inserted a birthday verse.

I am honoured to receive this wonderful award from the mega talented Vikki and I have to pass this onto 5 other deserving blogs. Now this is not easy as you all have wonderful blogs full of inspiration but 5 is the rule I must follow so I am going to pass this onto my daughter Marcea because she is always so sweet and kind, Jodi who is celebrating her Birthday today - happy birthday sweetie, Donna my fellow DT buddie, Chris fellow DT too and Vicki, what this girl don´t know about stamping simply ain´t worth knowing!

I have followed sketch #57 over at Sketch Saturday and really enjoyed this one and it is way too long since I played along with Stamp Something whose theme is "Embellished Somethings" so how could I resist!



For my card I have coloured Beautiful Dreamer with my prisma´s blending with sansodor and added a light touch of glamour dust to her wings and cloud. I have used my retro punch and roses from my stash plus some pretty flat backed pearls to embellish. All papers are from K&Co Sparkly Sweet.

Creative Card crew Challenge #17 Wedding

Happy Tuesday everyone, hope you are all enjoying the heat!
Wow we are onto Challenge 17 already at Creative Card Crew and this week Tasha has set the theme of "WEDDING" so come on and join in as I am sure you all have plenty of these to go to this summer.

My take is a bit different because I have a friend who is getting married again after being widowed more than a few years ago and as she says she is no longer the blushing bride.




I have kept my card very simple by bugging my background and matting onto pink then using a few punches made my floral arrangement and the flowers I shaped with a cocktail stick to give them some dimension. The Wedding greeting is from See D Celebration Messages. I am sure my friend will like the simplicity of this. -x-

I have coloured Annie with my Prismas then matted her onto a pretty pastel pink. My papers are from SU, I do love these, and I have used the very first border punch I bought yonks ago. Primas and roses are from stock and the tiny flowers are waste from past punching - being the canny Scot I am I waste nothing! oops and the sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly.




I have carried my papers and punching through to the inside, ooh I am so proud of myself as never done this before, and secured my pockets with minature Papermania brads.



Ooh wait for it ... I have decorated the back as well ... getting good in my old age!

Playtime and three new challenges for me

Today I wanted to play with my new toys and participate in some blogs which are new to me so I have made special time and enjoyed every minute.
I have three friends whom are on the DT at Christmas Stampin ALL YEAR LONG and challenge #22 is a freebie to just make a Christmas card. Allsorts Challenge 6 have a theme of WINGS and Dottie´s World have a theme of Christmas in June.



For my card I have used Holly from Charmed Cards and Crafts and I had to buy both sets as they are so adorable. I have coloured Holly with my prismas and added oodles of glamour dust to her wings, dress and boots and green glitter glue to her lower eyelashes - also added some red flat backed gems for the holly berries on her headband. My backing papers are all from Bearly Mine Designer Extreme Volume 1 as I simply can´t live without these and my gorgeous hanging charm is from Poppy Petals Designs. I have cut a snowflake from a sissix die and my flowers, spacers and brads are all from The Hobby House.
Ooh I am just loving these adorable little pixies so you are warned ... there will lots more coming!

Flutter By Wednesday # 63

Golly gosh we are half way through another week, how time flies. This day always brings us Flutter By Wednesday at Danni´s Dreams and we now have some fun changes. Danni has featured all our team members so she thought it would be fun to get us more involved now.
Our first team member challenge is by Kimmie and her challenge is called Spring Fever since we're all ready to get outside and enjoy the weather. Just create an "outdoorsy card" with a butterfly or fairy. We'd love to see your creations! My outdoor scene is taken from Bearly Mine Designer Inserts Extreme and this range of CD´s are my fav of all time because there are papers for absolutely everything. My fairies have been coloured with my Prismas´and lashings of glamour dust. Tinkerbell was a RAK from a very kind team member, must get this stamp for myself, and the other fairies are from See D´s Magical Christmas.

Creative Card crew Challenge #16 "Whatever the Weather"

The challenge this week with the Creative Card Crew has been set by the lovely and very talented Joey and her choice of theme is "Whatever the Weather" so let´s see what you can all create from this inspiring title.

I must admit I did wonder which path I would follow, Joey certainly got me to use my old grey matter hehe.




For my card I decided I would start off with the sky for inspiration and my background scene was created from the Summer section of My Crfat Studio. I then imported the deck chair, towel and beach shoes, something I have never done before, then decided she may need a wee drink so voila she has a glass of margarita to quench her thirst.
I coloured Holly with my Prisma´s then cut her out and popped her up on 3d pads. I have tried to give the impression that she is walking off the beach because those clouds don´t look too promising!

Have a "micey" nice day

Ooh I am always running late these days and could do with the odd extra 24 hour day, like most of you no doubt. Gosh we are half way through yet another week already and Wednesday always brings us "Flutter By" at Danni´s Dreams and as long as you have a butterfly or fairy on your card that is the only requirement for Challenge #62. Penny Black are celebrating their 1st Birthday so I have made this card to "Celebrate" with them and I have used the sketch from Just Christmas and Birthday Cards.



I have used these gorgeous mice from Penny Black and coloured them with my Prisma´s. Both backing papers are from Stampin Up and I used my MSDL punch on the border as I thought it was time to have a play - my poor punches are so neglected these days.
My ribbon is from Dovecraft and the flat backed gems from Kars. That cute little "micey" sentiment is also a Penny Black whilst the birthday greeting is a "See D".

Creative Card crew Challenge #15

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the sunshine. I had a super time with my sister and brother in law who flew down from Madrid for the weekend, it was so nice to catch up in person rather than telephone.

The lovely Linda has set the theme this week at the Creative Card Crew and it is to use JUST 2 COLOURS - BLACK PLUS ANOTHER.

I have used this elegant image from the Art Deco cd and matted and layered her up on black and white card and then added a flower peel off down the side. Quick, easy and I think effective.

I have used "Madison" from Charmed Cards and Crafts and she is definitely "Oh La La". I have coloured her with my Prisma´s blending with Sansodor then matted her onto an oblong nestie - all papers and embellishments are from my stash.

Flutterby Wednesday #61 meets Sketch and Stash #12

Wow it sure is hot here this morning and I have lots to do today, must get a bit of the dreaded H word done and stock up at the supermarket .
This day of the week always brings Flutter By Wednesday at Danni´s Dreams and this week along with your butterfly or fairy there is the option to follow a sketch. I have followed the sketch at Sketch and Stash, thank you girls I will definitely use this lots of times.


For my card I have inked up Melinda Helping Angel from WOJ and coloured her with my Prisma´s then added Gold Glamour Dust to her wings but must admit I do prefer the Crystal.
Backing papers are from Bearly Mine Extreme I, gold mirri board, silk flower and tartan ribbon are from my stash and the snowflake brads are from Papermania. This sketch just cried out Christmas to me so now I have my first card made ... lots more to go though.
