Good morning folks, hope you are all well. Wow it sure is blowing a gale here this morning and the wind howled all night so think it will be another day indoors again.

I have not done much crafting this year as I have been suffering with back and hip problems since November so sitting, walking etc are not easy and sadly I have stood down from Lili´s Little Fairies, old Lili of the Valley challenge blog where I spent many happy years on the DT.

Anyhoo onto my card, I have used this gorgeous digi image by artist Morgan Fitzsimons available at Scrapbook Stamp Society/ Addicted To Stamps and she is called Cameo 1.

Decided to use my new Me to You - Spring Chic papers, ribbon from Joanna Sheen and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts

Evening folks, hope you are all well and busy with your Christmas crafting and shopping. Ooh you could have knocked me down with a feather when I received an email from Heather Valentin inviting me to be on the Dream Team for Scrapbook Stamp Society - have you seen their digis??? OMG they are gorgeous and it took me but a split second to say yes. Well you cannot blame a gal for wanting to play acan you!

Isn´t she just a wee beauty! "Krystal" is a Limited Edition holiday digi created by artist Heather Valentin and she is available only from Scrapbook Stamp Society. They are a new company less than a year old which was created by Sherri Baldy and started out selling artists work on Fabric Blocks, from there they went into Rubber & Digi Stamps ... when they did, they fell in love with the scrapbooking world and now create even more products which are offered at Scrapbook Stamp Society..... do check out all the fabulous images which are perfect for both scrapbooking and carding alike cos they´re all gorgeous! Here is another of the fabulous stamps which was released yesterday and is available online at Lili of the Valley, this wee cutie is called "All our Dreams" and the sentiment is included free.

I have coloured this adorable image with copics, highlighted the spots with liquid pearls and cut out with my nesties.

All OUR dreams came true on 2/11/11 with the birth of Jessica, our very 1st granddaughter born at 23.36 and weighing 6lbs 12.5oz. She is so beautiful and looks like her brother Daniel, we can´t wait to see her in the flesh and get loads of cuddle time which unfortunately is on hold until both hubby and I are on the mend.

Good morning peeps,sorry I'm a day late sharing my card but hubby has been pretty poorly.I have nothing but praise for the NHS and still can't believe a rapid response doctor was here within 3 minutes. Help sure is at hand when most needed.

Anyhoo onto this week's challenge at Lili of the Valley which is Bright and Sparkly, just up my street cos I simply love glitter.

Good morning folks, hope you are well and not feeling the cold too much. It´s great to be back after such a long absence but boy time has never stood still for us. The move from Spain went smoothly but we haven´t stopped since our return and hopefully come next month we will be finished and back to normal living.

A thousand apologies for my very late posting, I do have a million excuses mainly for my flying visit to UK (Wednesday night and return on Friday night - last night) to bring our grandsons over for the Easter break. I still can´t get over how fabulous the weather and temperatures were there despite the heavy rainfalls in Spain but so pleased to report that the weather here is now glorious.

Anyhoo onto the challenge this week at Lili of the Valley which is EASTER - the perfect time to send your friends and family a special wee card to let them know you are thinking of them so come on in and share your creations with us.

Good afternoon peeps, hope you are all well. Do you ever have one of those days when you don´t have enough hours? I am already late for the St. Patrick´s celebrations round a the Peña but hope to get there within the hour unless something else crops up.

Anyhoo onto the new challenge at Lili of the Valley which is a SKETCH by our lovely Bev.

My friend asked me to make a card for her grandaughter because she has just passed her first ballet exam, bless her, I remember only too well running our girls around to their ballet, tap and modern lessons. I knew straight away which stamp to use because "Little Ballerina" fits the bill to perfection as does the circular sentiment also available from Lili of the Valley.

I coloured with my copics and used glamour dust to the skirt of her tu-tu, papers are BG bittersweet, lace, flowers and gems from my stash.

Good morning folks, can´t believe it is Thursday once again - where does the time go? We have another wonderful challenge for you at Lili of the Valley and this week it is a Sketch by our very own Bev.

I have inked up Toadstool for Two which will be available next week. The new Animals Release are gorgeous so don´t forget to check out the Lili of the Valley website on the 9th March to avoid disappointment cos these wee beauties are gonna fly off the shelves for sure. You will also find lots of beautiful creations from the DT using the new releases on the Ideas to Inspire Blog.

I adore this image as it´s so versatile, perfect for anniversaries, engagement, Easter etc. I have coloured with my copics and prismas adding touches of flowersoft and glamour dust. I would be lost without my nesties but decided to use up some old craft stash that has laid about for years. At one point in my crafting I couldn´t live without my peel offs, bet I wasn´t the only one lol, rub on´s were another thing I used a lot before I started stamping and I even pulled out an old punch which hasn´t seen the light of day for I don´t know how long. I really enjoyed using the "Christmas Personalised Mini Story Book" which can be found HERE and I hope our adorable grandsons will enjoy reading it as they love nothing better than a good story book and I sit for hours reading with them when I am over.

I have glittered all the edges and am afraid to say the wording has been blurred out for obvious reasons, sorry.

I have made this card for a very special wee boy who turns 13 on the 7th November. Daniel is the son of my DT buddy Claire aka CraftyC´s Crafting Library and as many of you know he is on the Autistic Spectrum suffering from Aspbergers Syndrome. Lili of the Valley will be launching 9 new Girlie stamps, 3 fabulous sets of Circular Sentiments and 2 Calender Stamps at the NEC at the beginning of November, these will then be for sale on the Lili of the Valley website from 12th November.

This is from a set of 4 stamps called Tea and Chat and is called “Hello Cupcake". The Circular sentiment is also from one of the 3 new sentiment Stamp Plates, there are 12 sentiments on each sheet and they cover everything from Birthdays, Christmas, Weddings and so much more.

She is a darling image and was a dream to colour with copics, prismas and chalks. The cakes have been iced with 3d crystal lacquers, which have lain around my craftroom forever, adding a wee bit of stickles to give a frosted icing effect. Papers are K & Co, border punch is a Martha Stewart, the gorgeous roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts, ribbon and gems from stash.

Good afternoon folks, hope you have all had a wonderful weekend. I decided I needed a day off so had a little play. I love all the stamps from Lili of the Valley and have inked up Christmas Teddy - Big Star from last Christmas release. In my opinion these stamps will never go out of date cos they´re all so adorable. A wee note to my American and Canadian buddies - these beauties can also be purchased from Simon Says Stamp.

I have coloured with my copics and prismas as always and added gold glamour dust to the star. Poinsetties have been glittered with stickles and these and the flat backed pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Papers are BG Eskimo Kisses, image was cut out with my nesties and the ribbon is from my stash. I can´t believe how well I am doing with my Christmas cards this year so there should be no last minute panic for a change!

Good morning peeps, hope you are all well and enjoying yourselves. Time, for me at the moment is very precious and I have had to take a back seat with blogging but do hope to catch up with all my buddies real soon. The de-cluttering process is going great, I should never be allowed so much storage space cos I am a hoarder but whey hey I have reduced a triple double wardrobe to less than one and helped clothe the homeless into the bargain! OMG it was like Hazel giving Viv the same treatment in Emmerdale. Thank goodness only 3 more bedrooms to go and smaller wardrobes so should be much easier!

Good afternoon peeps, hope you are all well and enjoying a relaxing weekend. We had a fabulous holiday in UK but the time just flew by and we weren´t ready for our return to Spain. It was wonderful to see and play with our grandsons´ but unfortunately we didn´t have time to visit our eldest,Ryan. Let´s hope we can sell up and return to UK permanently.

Anyhoo onto today´s card, Totally Tilda have set the theme for

I decided to get my needle out and enjoy a bit of hand sewing, pattern is by Chris Bosman and I think perfect for this Tilda. I coloured with prismas and chalks and punched all the corners. Paper is from an old pad by Papermania and flowers from where else but the fabulous Wild Orchid Crafts, their service is fantastic and I brought another order home with me.

Morning peeps, hope you are all well and had a really good weekend. I am on cloud nine cos count down time is here for some lovely cool weather, roll on Wednesday when I can escape this heat - UK here I come! Maybe better get a wee crafty shopping list ready, what thinks you?

Today sees the start of a new challenge at Die Cut Dreams and this week we would like to see some

MATERIAL

on your creations but you must use material other than ribbon or trim to be in with a chance to win this weeks prize.

Bloomin heck hubby wasn´t too pleased when he saw I had cut into his shirt, poor darling does the ironing and said at least I could have let him wear it first, hey come on I didn´t want a sweaty bit o material - trust men!

I decided to cut the circular panel with my nestie and now wish I had mounted it onto white card - this shirt is/WAS so fine and the orange card does show through a bit but whey hey it is all in the aid of completing a challenge ROFL.

I have inked up Sailing Boat from Lili of the Valley and coloured with copics and prismas, these stamps are such a snip at only £3.75 each. I stamped onto the shirt with versafine to create the sails and again onto the orange card for the mast and flag. I also recycled some wire from a wine bottle to create the wee beaded dangly, added a cute wee yacht charm sent by a friend, spacer and brad all from stash. Backing paper is by Papermania and corners are Double Do dies.

Good morning folks, hope you are all well. Gosh where have the last 4 weeks gone? From today Totally Tilda are going fortnightly, wow we were overwhelmed with the amount of beautiful entries for Challenge #1 and hope you will all come back and play again with our new challenge.

Make a SHAPED CARD

But NO Squares OR Rectangles and NO Easel cards.

Susie gave the DT some of her new die cut cards on stands to play with and they are now available in her shop at Die cut Dreams and what a dream they are to work with.

I challenged myself to make use of my neglected punches and really enjoyed myself. They are just normal punches, not circular, and the best way I can describe their use is to cut a 5 or 7cm circle in centre - depends on pattern spread of the punch, it really is a case of trying for yourself. I then punch at 12, 6, 3 and 9 0´ clock then twice inbetween each of these.

I have coloured Tilda with copics and prismas and cut her out, ooh that stem did test my patience rofl. Roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I don´t think you can go overboard with them - they are so addictive, memo to self ... place another order. Sentiment is from Stampin Up, cut with my nesties and layered onto another punched shape and that´s about it lol.

Happy 4th July to all my American buddies, I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful day of celebrations.

I have inked up Baby Blanket and coloured with my Copics. Let´s Celebrate

Ooh am I an Old Age Pensioner today? I think not because I won´t get my pension until July with the revised retirement age. Aha but I am lucky as I fall just a month behind the new official guidelines so not liable to work to the age of 65 ... thank goodness I left the rat race almost 17 years ago.
Today is also very special to me as my grandson Ryan celebrates his 17th birthday and will be able to get his Provissional Licence (is it still called that?) then get behind the wheel of a car and drive his parents nuts no doubt, mind you it won´t make much to difference to his mum as she is nuts already as I am sure half of you already know rofl - chip off the old block???
Happy Birthday Ryan, you light up our lives. -x-

The sentiment is this week´s freebie at Sentimental Sundays where they want you to Get Well, this brilliant sketch, another lifesaver, is the theme at Crazy 4 Challenges. Flutter By Wednesday would like to see flowers along with your butterfly, fairy or angel and Stampin´Sisters in Christ have set the theme of distressing or sponge the edges of your card/project - I have sponged with rouge fluid chalk. Monday is upon us once again and I have no idea where the last week has gone, gosh I seem to blink my eyes and a new week is upon me before I know where I am. At least my memory is still in working mode cos I remembered today always brings us a new theme at Sweet Pea Stampers and this week we challenge you to try your hand at

Paper Piecing

I have never done any paper piecing, played around with acetate and glitter, but always fancied trying using the paper and like everything else ... I just needed a push in the right direction and now that I have tried it this will be something I definitely will repeat.

I have paper pieced her tail and belt in pearlescent paper, her hat and outfit with BG papers -
coloured Caribbean Treasure with my Copics and used Prisma pencils for the background - added some glaze to the bones to make them look authentic and gems and pearls from my stash. Papers are from the Indian Summer pack by Basic Grey, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts ... check my Blog Candy. Embossing folder is Swiss Dots and the gorgeous ribbon was a gift from my DT buddy Victoria.

Good morning my lovelies, I hope you had a super weekend, I know I did. Can´t believe it´s Monday again already, where on earth do the weeks go? I was good yesterday and tidied up my craftroom although there were other places that should have taken priority but whey hey a gal needs some clear space to work in. Good morning and what a glorious morning it is here on the Costa del Sol, wall to wall sunshine and a kiss goodbye to the rain. I still can´t believe we were in UK this time last week, it sure was a flying visit due to the volcanic dust and cancelled flights but 3 days were better than none and it was wonderful to see our youngest grandson christened and be with our family.

Good morning folks, I hope you have all enjoyed a fabulous weekend. I woke up to brilliant sunshine this morning which is a blessing considering we have had torrential rain and awful thunderstorms this past three days. It looks as if our family celebration is not to be, received email to say our flights for tomorrow are cancelled, that is us joining 1000´s of others but not too bad because at least we are stranded at home unlike the unfortunate holiday makers.

I have used Ching Chou Kuik´s "Mad Tea Party" decoupage sheet from The Crafty Purple Frog and found this so relaxing to cut out. Papers, flowers etc are all from my stash.

Good afternoon folks, sorry I am late uploading my card this week for Lili of the Valley.
Hubby had to go to hospital following a visit to his GP and was admitted, it sure has been a stressful few days but pleased that things are not as bad as first suspected.
I have just managed to gain access to my puter, we have had torrential rain and hours of thunderstorms since early morning unlike you all basking in wall to wall sunshine over in UK.

This week we challenge you to include Acetate on your project, something I very seldom use so had to get the old grey matter working for this one.

I stamped onto acetate with Stazon then turned it over and added Art Institute glue and glitter to her dress and glamour dust to wings, light touches to her hair and sun/moon.

I then stamped again with Memento ink onto card and coloured her hair, skin, sun/moon with Copics - sorry forgot to take piccie of this part - then I chalked the background.

Once all glues were dry I then added more Art Institute glue onto the already glittered parts and carefully aligned the acetate onto the card and left once again to dry. I then trimmed the finished image and matted onto navy blue card from stock.

Good morning folks, I hope you all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed some good weather.

This weeks challenge theme at Die Cut Dreams is

Vintage with NO colouring

so you can stamp with any coloured ink but you can NOT use any pens, pencils, paper stubs or paint brushes etc ... no form of colouring in at all.

Afternoon peeps, sorry I haven´t been blogging much recently but last week I was floored with the dreadful sickness bug which has been doing it´s rounds here and this week started off with food poisoning following eating out on Sunday, reckon I will stick to my own cooking for a while.

I don´t think I have ever made a card so quick before and I actually do like this, looks much richer IRL.
Just a simple stamped image matted and layered with the addition of peel off´s, omg I do have 100´s of peel offs and am now tempted to get them back out. I heard all those groans rofl but I did use them lots in my paper embroidery days.

Good morning ladies, I hope you were all spoiled rotten yesterday and had a wonderful Mother´s Day.

I love my punches so this challenge was the perfect excuse to have a play. I have been good and restricted myself to only using 3 although I was tempted to punch out some leaves and include a sentiment onto a punched out circle.

I cut out a 5cm circle from the centre of the orange paper and punched around this using the gold punch, punched the corners with the purple one and the flowers of coarse came from the blue retro.

Yesterday saw the launch of the brand new Spring Collection at Lili of the Valley and these stamps are already flying of the shelves.

Flutter By Wednesday reaches 100

Today marks our 100th Challenge at Flutter By Wednesday and in honour of Danni, the creator and fantastic leader, we the DT are celebrating this wonderful event with something special. Danni asked us if we could all use a butterfly on our project this week to mark our 100th Challenge.
Our fabulous teamie Karen contacted the DT and suggested we all make Butterfly Boxes using a lovely template that was found on Brenda´s Blog , thank you Karen and Brenda, I really enjoyed making this.

After cutting and assembling my Butterfly Box I drew a butterfly free hand then ran this through the cuttlebug folder. Top butterfly is stamped onto acetate with stazon and decorated with Art Institute Glitter. The handle was made using MS Valentine punch and trimmed with ribbon. Floral and Pearl display are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.

This week´s challenge is an open one, just make sure you have a butterfly, fairy or angel on your project and upload to Mr. Linky and if you upload to SCS or PCP please use the keyword, FBW.

I had never made one of these before as they looked so complicated, yes I am a scaredy cat of something new, but now I am well and truly hooked and to be honest they really are simple to make so if like me I recommend you do step out of your comfort zone, you won´t regret it!
